OKP-180     Calcite on Quartz     Valentine Mine, #4 Mine Gouverneur Talc Company, Harrisville, Lewis County, New York.  Ex. John Davis Collection.  This fist sized piece measures 10 x 9.6 x 7.7 cm.  There is a large, 4 cm, calcite near the top of the display face.  It has differing lusters on its faces that range from dull to bright satin like in appearance.  The pseudo cubic quartz is brighter than the images indicate, very high luster, but some faces are overcoated by hematite.  In-hand this is an attractive example of this uncommon material.  Lower part of specimen has crystals missing but the main crystals are in excellent condition.   $95

OKP-181     Calcite on Quartz     Valentine Mine, #4 Mine Gouverneur Talc Company, Harrisville, Lewis County, New York.  Ex. John Davis Collection.  This piece is an exceptional example of this material: large, showy, with high luster pseudo cubic quartz crystals and nice calcite.  The piece measures 17.3 x 11.5 x 5.5 cm.  Like other specimen from this location it is more lustrous than the images indicate.  The calcite crystals overgrowing much of the pseudo cubic quartz are not lustrous.  This plate is showy and far better than most specimens seen from this small find.  The hematite phantoms and coatings created a nice contrast and coloration to the piece.  There is no damage but some edges of the plate show contact as would be expected.  $400

OKP-182     Calcite on Fluorite      Minerva #1 Mine, Cave-In-Rock, Hardin County, Illinois.  Ex. John Davis Collection.  This is a substantial specimen measuring in at 11.3 x 9.5 x 5 cm with cubes to almost 4 cm on edge.  The backside has blue cubes to 2 cm each, also with minor calcite.  Sorry, I took no photos of the back.  There is very minor rubbing as seen in images and a calcite shows damage.  In general the piece is in excellent condition and it will require magnification to note any issues.  Good luster and form to all the crystals.  An excellent example of this material. $350

OKP-185    Turquoise Crystals    Campbell County, Virginia.  Ex. Nancy Collins Collection.  This specimen is a small block of matrix that measures 3.6 x 2.2 x 1.8 cm.  One side is coated by damage free micro crystals.  Rare and always in demand, these specimens of turquoise crystals are not often available.  $45

OKP-185A     Copper Crystals in Prehnite    Copper Falls Mine, Keweenaw Peninsula, Michigan.  Ex. Nancy Collins Collection.  The specimen seen here is composed of tiny crystallized copper crystals mixed in balls of crystalline prehnite (mislabeled on tag as datolite).  Nice patina to the copper crystals and good luster and color for the prehnite.  This vug like specimen measures 5.6 x 3.3 x 2 cm.  No damage.  $190

OKP-186      Epistilbite    RESERVED     Mumbai District (Bombay District), Maharashtra, India.  This piece is a nicely trimmed vug measuring 6.8 x 5.2 x 3 cm.  Within the opening a a flower like spray of lustrous, white, damage free epstilbite crystals.  Nice example!  $40
