OKP-811     Smithsonite      Kelly Mine, Magdalena, New Mexico.  Ex. Nancy Collins collectin.  This section of gem smithsonite measures 5 x 2.4 x 2.2 cm.  Much of the piece is very translucent and suitable for lapidary work.  It is sawn and polished on most sides including the bottom.  It also sits nicely as a display piece.  This is not a type of material that is easy to find.  $240

OKO-956     Pyrite      1,900 foot level, Zinc Corporation of America Mine #4, Balmat, St. Lawrence County, New York.  Ex. Chuck Bowman collection.  This is a good example of the crudely formed pyrites that once came from the Balmat mine.  It measures 4.1 x 3 x 2.7 cm and is dominated by one larger crystal, as seen.  Lots of contacts as is typical for this material.  $20

Chuck Bowman collection.  Nicely formed, high luster, white to clear, singly and doubly-terminated calcite schalenohedrons compose this 5.6 x 4.3 x 2.5 cm specimen.  There are only a couple tiny rubs.  It is a floater that shows only one small region that was once a contact, now well healed.  $35

Chuck Bowman collection.  Nicely formed, white to clear, singly and doubly-terminated calcite schalenohedrons compose this 8.5 x 5.4 x 3 cm specimen.  There are only a couple tiny rubs.  It is a floater that shows only one small region that was once a contact.  An excellent, high luster example of this uncommon material.  $60

OKO-961     Calcite with minor Pyrite     Hyatt Mine, Talcville, St. Lawrence County, New York.  Ex. Chuck Bowman collection.  Nicely formed, translucent to transparent, light purple, doubly-terminated calcite grouping is 4 x 2.8 x 2 cm specimen.  One termination has a tiny cleave and the other a tiny rub.  Both are not distracting as they are extremely small.  Exceptionally high luster on this example.  A fine miniature of this uncommon material.  $100

Chuck Bowman collection.  Nicely formed, translucent to transparent, light purple, doubly-terminated calcite grouping is 4.1 x 3.1 x 2.4 cm specimen.  Exceptionally high luster on this example that, in this case, is a Rossie habit twin.  No damage.  An exceptionally fine miniature of this uncommon material.  Minor blue mineral putty on one small area of back.  $80

OKO-963      Pyrite       China (probably from the Shangbao Mine).  Ex Chuck Bowman collection.  This piece is 2 cm on each edge and shows attractive secong generation overgrowths of pyrite druse on select areas of the primary cube.  Two couple spots of minor damage as seen in second and third images. Chuck Bowman collection.  This is an unusually complex crystal for the location that has a small area of contact on its base, otherwise complete and damage-free all around.  It measures 4.4 x 4.4 x 3.7 cm.  A very nice specimen in all regards!  $50

OKO-967     Calcite on Dolomite     Lockport Quarry, Niagara County, New York.  Ex. Chuck Bowman collection.  The plate of crytsals seen here measures 6 x 5.5 x 1.9 cm and is composed of yellow, doubly-terminated calcites on light pink dolomites.  The crystals are translucent to transpaernt, beautifully formed, and aesthetically displayed.  No damage, some blue mineral putty on base.  $45

OKP-729      Pyrite and Sphalerite      Nanisivik, NWT, Canada.  Ex. John Davis collection.  This is an attractive 3.4 x 2.7 x 1.7 cm piece with numerous crystals that sit up high on the specimen.  One small face on back is rough and I assume damaged (seen in second image) but maybe not.  $35
