OKQ-725

OKQ-725      Amethyst      Blue Points Mine, Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada.  This large "button" measures 4.7 x 4.2 x 2 cm and is partially healed on back.  Excellent condition with only one point on edge showing a very tiny rub.  That spot can be seen at bottom left (it is a multiple termination but a tiny part of it is a rub).  Good color typical for this hematite included material and better than usual luster.  $45

OKQ-726      Amethyst      Blue Points Mine, Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada.  This large conglomerate of shards measures 7.2 x 4.7 x 3 cm and is fully healed on all sides.  No damage or contacts.  Some crystals are complete, some are buried, and much of the piece is composed of quartz shards.  Unusual for the locatin.   $45

OKQ-727     Scheelite and Muscovite    near Hu Ya, Xue Bao Diang Mountains, Ping Wu, Sichuan Province, China.  This grouping of transparent scheelites are complete and some are incomplete on edges.  The piece measures 4 x 2.7 x 2 cm.  Damage-free crystals with contacts from other crystals along edges.  Closed location is now a panda reserve.  $70

OKQ-728     Scheelite and Muscovite    near Hu Ya, Xue Bao Diang Mountains, Ping Wu, Sichuan Province, China.  A single transparent scheelite crystal on muscovite makes up this specimen.  The piece measures 3.3 x 2 x 1.8 cm.  Damage-free crystal with minor contact on back.  Closed location is now a panda reserve.  $95

OKQ-729     Quartz with Hubeite and what appears to be Apophyllite      Daye Mines, Huangshi, Hubei Province, China.  This specimen is composed of clear quartz crystals with brown hubeite and what appears to be very tiny white apophyllite crystals that have grown in parallel, linked, stringers on the surfaces of the quartz.  6 x 4 x 2.6 cm.  This is a lot better than the images make out.  No damage.  Edge contacts.   $75

OKQ-730     Quartz with Hubeite and what appears to be Apophyllite      Daye Mines, Huangshi, Hubei Province, China.  This specimen is composed of a single clear quartz crystals with brown hubeite and what appears to be very tiny white apophyllite crystals that have grown in parallel, linked, stringers on the surfaces of the quartz.  6.2 x 3.1 x 3.1 cm.  This is a lot better than the images make out.  No damage.  Minor edge contacts.   $75

OKQ-732     Pyrite    Navajun, La Rioja, Spain.  This single cube measures 2.3 cm on edge and the specimen is 6.6 x 5.6 x 4 cm and is slightly tarnished.  I have worked on and removed most of this so the luster is now typical for this material.  $35

OKQ-733    Scapolite and Diopside    Wilberforce, Ontario, Canada.  This 7. 5 x 4 x 4.2 cm piece is composed of nicely formed and crude crystals of both species.  No damage.  Sits nicely.   $30

OKQ-740    Copper     Ray Mine, Ray, Pinal County, Arizona.  Ex. Dr Steve Chamberlain.  Circ. 1963.  This small copper plate measures 2.7 x 2.2 x .3 cm.  It is in good condition with a nice patina.  $20

OKQ-742    Copper     Ray Mine, Ray, Pinal County, Arizona.  Ex. Dr Steve Chamberlain.  Circ. 1963.  This small branching micro crystalline cluster measures 3.2 x 2.7 x .4 cm.  No damage, nice patina and interesting form.  $75

OKQ-743     Beryl     RESERVED    Minas Gerais, Brazil.  Ex. Steve Lewis collection.  This single crystal has impeccable form, luster and a light greenish blue color.  It measures 3.3 x .6 x .6 cm.  $195

OKQ-744     Hubeite on Apophyllite      Daye Mines, Huangshi, Hubei Province, China.  This apophyllite crystal is actually clear but it is tough to tell unless viewed from an edge.  The large faces are slightly frosted.  It is a damage-free floater measuring 3 x 2.3 x 1.7 cm.  Much better than th ephotos portray.

OKQ-746    Amethyst     Sintra Quarry, St-Cyrille, east of Drummondville, Québec, Canada.  Ex. Dr Steve Chamberlain. Previously in Canadian Museum of Nature collection.  This very light colored amethyst measures 2.5 x 2.2 x 1.5 cm.  Interesting locality piece.  Contact on back and base.  $40

OKQ-747      Goethite on Calcite     Marmora Mine, near Madoc, Ontario, Canada.  Collected by Michael Walter, 1990.  The sprays seen on this dome of calcite crystals have been analyzed as being goethite (primary crystals).  They are small but wonderful to look at forming diverging sprays and bowties that stand out beautifully on the white background.  The piece measures 3.6 x 3 x 2.8 and does, barely, fit in a perky box.  No damage.  $150
