OKM-830    Feldspar (variety Labradorite)     Kragero, Norway.  Ex. Harold L. Dibble collection.  Prev. John Sinkankas, Prev., U.S. National Museum.  What a fantastic provenance!  Famous author and mineralogist John Sinkankas added this piece to his collection through exchange with the Smithsonian.  3 polished surfaces and all show almost 100 % play of blue colors.  A fine example measuring 13.3 x 5.8 x 4 cm.  One more side with the catalog numbers on it is sawn but not fully polished.  John donated this specimen to the 1999 Rochester Symposium fundraising auction.  If I discover it was figured in one of his many books I may cry for selling it.  All tags are present.    $500
