OKP-339

OKP-339       Barite     Cartersville, Bartow County, Georgia.  Ex. Caroline Les collection.  Like barites from other Georgia locations these things are as "rare as hens teeth".  I've seldom seen these any larger than thumbnail sized specimens, they are almost always damaged, and again, simply uncommon.  This fine example is a large plate of crystals measuring 6.4 x 5 with crystals to approximately 2.5 cm each.  They are damage-free and attractive.  These barites are among the most recognizable due to their unusual form.  The specimen comes with a custom engraved acrylic base.  I've spoke with locals who know this site is no longer producing specimens and understand the importance of fine examples like this.  I do not believe you will fine a better one of these anywhere.  $1,500

OKP-340

OKP-340    Wulfenite, Mimetite, Cerussite     Erupcion Mine, Los Lomentos, Chihuahua, Mexico.  Ex. Caroline Les collection.  This example is one of the most unusual and aesthetic I have seen from Los Lomentos.  The piece shows large (to almost 2 cm each) tabular clear, yellow wulfenites with a second generation of translucent brown wulfenites on these.  Green mimetite and white/clear cerussite as great contrast to this plate of crystals.  Sorry, I neglected to show the back which is partially crystallized by fine cerussites and some wulfenite.  Everything is damage-free and aesthetically displayed as most of the larges wulfenites are on edge.  The specimen measures 8.7 x 6 x 2 cm.  The specimen comes with a custom engraved acrylic base.  An exceptional wulfenite specimen an any arena  $1,500

Caroline Les collection.  This nice wulfenite specimen measures 7.5 x 6 x 5.1 cm and has well displayed, butterscotch colored wulfenite tabs to 1.1 cm, on edge, each.  There is a little minor damage to the lower left as seen in the first image and some on back of the specimen.  Still a very nice domical piece that displays great.  The specimen comes with a custom engraved acrylic base.  $550

Caroline Les collection.  Here is another desirable wulfenite from an important U.S. location.  This one measures 5.6 x 4.5 x 3 cm and stands vertically.  The largest crystals are under the base so it can also be displayed on its side if desired.  The specimen has lots of flash, not showing well in the images, due to the exceptional luster of the crystals.  Views nicely from any direction as it is crystallized on every side.  The specimen comes with a custom engraved acrylic base.  $450
