OKR-159    Fluorite on Quartz    Nashik District, Maharashtra, India.  This highly translucent yellow fluorite sphere sits up high on an attractive bed of white lustrous quartz.  The piece is of the highest quality for luster and form but appears very washed-out in the photos... sorry. It is much finer in-hand and is an exceptional damage-free example of this material.  6.5 x 4.5 x 3.4 cm.  $375

Healed Base

OKR-163    Quartz    Route # 55 Road Cut, near Windsor, Québec, Canada.  Ex. Dr. Steve Chamberlain collection.  This alpine quality quartz specimen comes from the well documented find from a single pocket.  It is a damage-free floater that measures 5.6 x 4.7 x 2.5 cm.  The specimen is transparent with light internal veils.  Exceptional luster and much better in-hand.  $60

Mine #4, Balmat, St. Lawrence County, New York.  Collected by miner Chuck Bowman.  This is a very nice two sided example of these rare cubic magnetites.  This one measures 5 x 2.6 x 1.5 cm and is mounted in a perky box, as seen.  Both sides are damage-free, the luster is excellent and the edges of specimen show healed contacts.  $200

Mine #4, Balmat, St. Lawrence County, New York.  Collected by miner Chuck Bowman.  This is a very nice domical example of these rare cubic magnetites.  The example seen here has cubes with nice tetrahexahedral modifications.  This one measures 5 x 4 x 3 cm and is mounted in a perky box, as seen.  All sides are damage-free, the luster is excellent.  Several areas show healed contacts.
