OKP-509

OKP-509     Vesuvianite     Jeffrey Mine, Asbestos, Québec, Canada.  Ex. Dr. Steve Chamberlain collection.  This is the only time I've seen these three colors of vesuvianite in a Jeffrey specimen.  The crystal obviously has the purple and green but what makes it unusual is the overgrowths of clear vesuvianite on the right side of the piece.  The clear material is terminated and the piece, as a whole, is amazing when closely observed.  Some side contact but no damage.  3 x 2.1 x 2 cm.  $100
