OKL-357     Cuprite      Tsumeb Mine, Tsumeb, Otjikoto Region, Namibia, South West Africa.  Ex. Thomas G. Fowler collection.  A nice grouping of metallic crystals to 1 cm each in a cluster on matrix.  The piece is an “almost” floater with one tiny edge contact only.  It measures 4 x 2.3 x 2.1 cm.  Very nice.   $225







OKL-326     Cuprite and Mimetite      Tsumeb Mine, Tsumeb, Otjikoto Region, Namibia, South West Africa.  Ex. Thomas G. Fowler collection.  This specimen measures 4 x 3.4 x 2 cm overall and has a clustered group of crystals with individuals to 1.3 cm each (that is the cuprites) and thin needle like mimetites to a cm.  The cuprites are a metallic gray color with flashes of red.  It is an attractive damage free specimen with no points of breakage or contact.  $160






OKI-481    Cuprite     Tsumeb SW Africa.  Ex Nancy Collins collection.  1.5 cm red crystal with a tiny (micro) chip on matrix of minor calcite and azurite.  Approx. 1.8 x 1.5 x .6 cm and mounted in a perky box.  Good piece which should probably be removed from box mounting, cleaned of Styrofoam and remounted.  175$






OKE-401    Cuprite    Onganja, S. W. Africa.  Ex Nancy Collins Collection.  This fine piece is a gemmy crystals which shows its rich red color especially well if backlit.  Excellent front and side views.  Back is only so-so.  No damage or visible contacts.  Minor adhesive on base.  225$






OKF-089    Cuprite    Tsumeb, Namibia.  Ex. Dr. Steve Chamberlain Collection.  A fantastic 2.3 cm cluster of gray crystals with fine luster and form.  The specimen displays great from all sides being damage free.  There is a small basil contact which has some Styrofoam attached which I’m not going to scrape off.  A showy classic.  220$






Back...dull red color

OKF-081    Cuprite and Malachite    Tsumeb, Namibia.  Ex. Dr. Steven Chamberlain collection.  Prev. Joe Politika Collection, Prev. Ward’s.  This desirable piece is a small floater cluster of crystals of cuprite to 1.3 cm each.  The piece measures 2 x 2 x 1.5 cm overall and is composed of sharply formed, lustrous crystals.  There is a fine coating of malachite on some areas of the specimen.  The cuprites are a deep rich red and only slightly translucent.  A fine specimen from a now classic location.  150$
