Wulfenite is another species from Tsumeb know to present itself in some of the finest examples know to man.  The color variety is almost endless and crystals can reach an unheard of 10 cm on edge.  Good wulfenite specimens from Tsumeb are very rare today due to their fragility.

Fowler collection.  Tiny gemmy to white cerussites in V twins with white dolomites on green malachite (I think this was mislabeled and is actually duftite).  3 x 2.8 x 1.3 cm.  No damage.  Nicely mounted in a perky box.  $45

Thomas Fowler collection.  A good size thumbnail specimen measuring 3.4 x 2.5 x 1.7 cm overall.  Crystallized on all sides with several small contact areas on back.  Good condition overall with the front only showing a few (of hundreds) of small crystals being clipped off.  Flashy with nice color.  Green is ??   $70

Thomas Fowler collection.  A good size thumbnail specimen measuring 3 x 2.3 x 1.4 cm.  Big crystal has a tiny corner ding seen in images but difficult to see in hand.  A really decent wulfenite from Tsumeb! Fowler collection.  Nice tabs of yellow translucent wulfenite to .7 cm on edge rest in a mineral mix, mostly smithsonite.  Other notable mineral in small blue balls appears to be conicalcite.  The specimen measures 5 x 3.5 x 2.7 cm.  Crystallized on all sides except for base.  I dont see any damage.  Very attractive.  $325

Fowler collection.  This piece is a floater with only a few wulfenite crystals being damaged or clipped off.  Good condition overall measuring in at 5.2 x 3.8 x 3.5 cm.  The wulfenites are gemmy and yellow in color and the smithsonites druse, coating most everything except the other crystals, ranges from tan to brownish green to light green in color on lower left in second image.  Dolomite accessory appears as a light brown coloration.  $175

Paul and Dawne Dunning Collection.  A stocky tab of honey brown colored wulfentite with a smaller penetrating crystal near its base.  Color on the back fades into a gray.  Good luster and fine form.  Minor chipping but not anything nasty looking.  Translucent and attractive.  $180
